Career Coaching
Career Coach UK – Marianne Welsh
Who do I help?
An Investment Banker from London who had tried to leave his job for 8 years to move to the USA to be back with family but had struggled to take the leap of faith. He made the move within 8 months of coaching and is now a new dad, working and living close to family on the West coast of America.
An Events Director from Surrey who ‘didn’t feel good enough and didn’t want to work anymore’ and through coaching found the confidence and courage to start her own coaching company (and leave her employer so successfully that they became a client!).
A Primary School teacher from South East London was struggling with depression and poor eating and exercise habits. However, through coaching, she was able to connect with a vision for her life: “I wouldn’t be in such a place of opportunity and positivity if I hadn’t done coaching”. She has since found balance with eating and exercise, taken a sabbatical to further her leadership skills abroad, got married, and is now returning to teaching to achieve her vision of ‘impacting the culture of education for the better.
A Civil Servant from South London was unsatisfied with her work as she realised that life ‘wasn’t a dress rehearsal’. However, within 6 months of coaching, she had left her job to do a ski season in the Alps and then work for Medair in Africa. She continues to have coaching to help her continue on the journey of stepping out.
A Corporate Trainer and Course Designer from Birmingham wanted to learn how to bring more of God into his work after a ‘glorious record of fizzling out’ in his own strength. He no longer chases work through striving but is now in great demand by top corporate companies, can charge a significantly higher rate for his work and most importantly for him, is ‘able to bring God into those challenges, not just conceptually but also experientially.’
A Tax Consultant from London who felt completely lost having returned from a life-changing ministry trip to Mozambique, who through coaching realised that she had a powerful pastoral and counselling gift, who has gone part-time in her job and is now in her final year of qualifying as a counsellor.
A Couple in their fifties from Letchworth wanted to be ‘intentional about their life change’ as their children left home, and they began to see limitations in the time they have left and in energy levels. Both have since shifted their focus from teaching to pursuing their dreams to perform music, and one of them ended up singing at the Royal Wedding of Harry and Megan a few years ago and is now performing worldwide!
A Coffee Roaster from Derby who was in ‘quite a dark place’ before coaching, who through coaching ‘connected with an inner strength from a mindset shift has utterly changed the trajectory of his life’. He has since followed the desire to live in South Africa with his wife, something he would never have dreamt possible before having coaching.
An Aid Worker from London who had been made redundant after 13 years with an international charity knew he needed to disentangle his identity from my working life to move on. Within a few months: ‘I got clear about what my unique skills and strengths are, understood where today sits in the timeline of my life-plan, and I’m excited about where I’m headed’. He now works as the Director of Strategy and Programmes at a leading education charity.
A Coaching Executive from Korea wanted to leave her job to be at home with her two children, grow in intimacy with the Lord, and pursue the things that she felt she is called to. Through coaching, she realised, ‘I don’t need to go out to get more education at this point to walk out my God-given mandate today’. She has since left her job and can focus even more on her family and her relationship with God.
What makes my career coaching unique?
My coaching style enables my clients to connect with what is important to them and what they want in an experiential, visceral way. As a result, their vision expands, their focus sharpens, and their connection to their why becomes the fuel that motivates them to take risks, overcome obstacles and move further than they thought possible.
“I don’t think learning and growing have to be serious, so I like to inject lightness into the coaching. My goal is for you to engage every part of your mind, body, soul, and spirit with your desired future so that you go further than you ever thought possible!”
How do I do this?
I take my role as your coach very seriously, so I make it my job to continually reach for ‘the more’ in my life, engaging with the stretch, faith and risk that comes with that. I do my best to ensure I live an emotionally, physically and spiritually healthy life so that I can be fully present and with you on your journey. I have a goal to always be continuing my professional development as a coach, and I have a support network around me to champion me in being the best coach I can be.
I have an Accredited Diploma in Transformational Coaching with Animas Centre for Coaching and over 1000 hours of coaching experience. I am also an Accredited C-Me Colour Profiling Activator, certified with Birkman International, and qualified with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
